Santa Barbara's Schlessinger, censor for peace?

ASK SCHLESSINGER:

How did Laura Schlessinger forget the violent threats made against an artist and private art gallery?

When you support the same position as those of violent and death threats, and you don't adjudge those devices, isn't that like giving tacit approval?

from behind her paywall at the Santa Barbara News-Press A2 column November 2, 2006, or click collage to enlarge.

Schlessinger wrote* in response to a news story (October 27, 2006, News-Press "Less than peaceful response to anti-war art") where a private gallery and artist had threats of bombs, fires, destruction and harm to the public. The peace theme had proved too threatening for some. It is not always easy to get Schlessinger's convoluted writings. Those aligned with her morals don't question her. She is isolated and doesn't respond to differences of opinion (except in a very controled environment).

Why tell readers to read Jeff Paley and Haim Harari? Why not be straighforward with her beliefs?

Laura Schlessinger and blogs

Another little blog mystery. Or, how irresponsible can professionals be?

Comment # 26, from editor bird (Tom?), Santa Barbara's blog*, is in the March 27, 2007 post "Adult or juvenile?" It is a serious topic for a town struggling with long on going gang problems and a recent murder, involving two teens. District Attorney Christine Stanley right away decided to try a fourteen year old as an adult. In Schlessinger's March 25, 2007 Santa Barbara News-Press column she begins, "Yes, Christie Stanley, try a 14-year-old as an adult: In a News-Press report..." Her "reasoning process" is astounding, you have to give her credit, she is fast.

On March 29th this comment showed up in "Adult or juvenile?":

* * * * * *

It sounds like her, except for the "I am credentialed in psychotherapy (MB 14914 - Marriage and Family therapist in State of California)"? The blog comments did discuss her too much. #26 was more off the subject and was it her? Later, in other posts, John Palminteri's name and posts came under discussion when Craig Smith wrote about Palminteri in "Another Reason Why I Don't Allow Comments. Monday, April 2, 2007". The editor bird crowd misinterpreted Smith's blog yet got the message to verify or (unverified). Or, as with Palminteri in another comment: "John Palminteri (imposter) | March 29th, 2007 at 5:03 pm".

"Dr. Laura Schlessinger (unverified)" showed up when? After Smith's blog. What is unusual, they were not able to verify the "new friend" Schlessinger right away? And why can't they now get a straight answer from her? Does the mystery lead some people to believe she is a psychotherapist? The actual person can document her credentials.

In her March 25, 2007 column she sure slams Laurence Steinberg, a professor in the Psychology Department at Temple University (title?) and Professor Mario Garcia by saying their work "is just infuriating nonsense".

Laura Schlessinger & underaged drinking arrests

UNDERAGED DRINKING ARRESTS
ALE AGENTS MAKE MULTIPLE ARRESTS IN FAYETTEVILLE FOR UNDERAGE DRINKING

other curious cover ups where rumors get started when people are silent
unresolved Young Republican Kicks Female Protester. second video Schlessinger could have and still can help resolve this by releasing photos taken at this event and others taken at this time.
You'd think she wouldn't want anyone thinking her son would behave like this. For the first time I heard her speak of him dropping out of college. I think he was in school one semester? He has learning problems? The rumors are that he had unresolved anger problems. There were also people who liked him, he's funny at times. Unfortunately, you hear more about him as a jerk, like his mother. They all benefit from the family business and it would be civil if they were forthcoming.

This would not matter except the family business makes alot of money on selling "family values" and somehow this was covered up? In the Santa Barbara News-Press column Laura Schlessinger did a column on UCSB students, blaming their parents for similar underaged behaviors. At no time did she disclose her like situation, as a BAD PARENT, her point of view.

RNC 2004 SUSPECTS!
They're everywhere and multiplying!
WHY DOESN'T DR. LAURA RELEASE PHOTOS OF
DERYK SCHLESSINGER FROM THIS EVENT/TIME? How simple that would be if DERYK is not the THUG. To have RNC types promote people who don't look more like THE THUG makes DR. LAURA look like she's obstructing justice and unaccountable.

Pat Tillman

Had it happened in the United States, police would have quickly cordoned off the area with "crime scene" tape and determined whether a law had been broken.

Instead, the investigations into Tillman's death have cascaded, one after another, for the past 30 months.

For Mary Tillman, getting to the bottom of her son's death is more than a personal quest.

"This isn't just about our son," she said. "It's about holding the military accountable. Finding out what happened to Pat is ultimately going to be important in finding out what happened to other soldiers."
